grace

(from the collection: leaving winter behind)

birds depict an ultimate freedom: dwelling in the skies, able to fly to wherever they would like and however high they want to rise.

they reveal a beautiful simplicity of life and an ability to move beyond the horizon, leaving behind where they once were.

when flight is fused with music not only is freedom aligned, but a hope springs forth.

in Grace, the birds are suspended in formation, their placement deliberate, echoing the lines of a musical score, each bird expressing a note of significance while together they carry a melody — one that’s quietly familiar to the soul, even if unnamed.

as flight and music come together, hope and redemption spring forth to raise up the quiet strength it takes to leave behind what once was. And for Grace — not just as an idea, but as an experience of release — to take our hand and lift us from one season and carries us into the next.

reflections

(from the collection: rising sun)

Reflections

inspired by the minimal beauty of japanese art, Reflections speaks gently without words about loss, about connection — the kind that doesn’t end with goodbye.

though no longer in the same place, the birds mirror each other by presence and love. It’s a quiet image of life and death held together — not in sorrow, but in peace — and the closeness that endures even in separation.

never apart in heart, the ever-lasting deep love of one lifts the other as they both fly on as love echoes through both sides of the veil of life and death.

Reflections doesn’t try to explain what comes next. it simply acknowledges what remains:

the deep imprint of love,
the nearness of someone now unseen,
and the quiet, unspoken bridge between this life and the next.

together we stand

(from the collection: alone we stand together)

no longer alone
together we stand
mixed media

As a line of pylons stretches into the distance — stark, unmoving, solitary figures standing watch over a barren landscape — their silhouettes rise from the fragmented black terrain like quiet sentinels, framed against a vast, silent white sky.

The three birds fly together — small, weightless, full of motion. They move through the rigid metal forms, unbothered by the bleakness below. Their wings are open. Free. Alive.

This piece holds the tension between isolation and unity, stillness and movement, the human-made and the God-breathed.

The pylons may stand alone — each one separate — but they are also connected, joined invisibly by the current they carry.

In the same way, the birds — though small — bring softness, companionship, and life into the frame.

Together We Stand is a meditation on quiet strength, unseen connection, and the enduring hope that even in the most barren landscapes, there is life. There is togetherness. There is flight.

And — even here — grace cries aloud.

65bpm

(from the collection: between wind & water)

There is a quiet moment that lives between weeping and silence.

A moment when the heart remembers the ache, and there are no words to be said. instead, momentary pauses fall between the silent tears.

This piece rests in that space.

As a soft shape of deep and sky blue drifts against a half-formed teardrop — or perhaps a raindrop — the minimal text reveals to us the average heartbeat of a person weeping, 65 bpm.

Nothing is overstated. But everything is intentional.

This work is not about despair. It is about what rain can write. What tears leave behind. It is the quiet language of sorrow — and the beauty that sometimes follows it.

Each drop is a letter.

Each beat a word.

65bpm is an invitation for the viewer to pause and to listen — not with the ears, but rather with the heart. For it is out of the depths of our heart that life speaks.

a drop in the ocean

(from the collection: a drop in the ocean)

As a small, solitary bird rises quietly from the corner of a sky, the whisper of freedom runs deep — a truth that begins in the heart. The kind that says you are not limited. That says you are not stuck. That says my child, this whole sky is yours.

In its flight is a quiet rebellion against limitation. In its placement is a reminder that beginnings often start small, unnoticed, low to the ground. But once lifted, there’s no telling how high one can go.

A Drop in the Ocean suggests that every act of courage, every step toward freedom, is part of something much greater. It’s an invitation to rise — into who you were created to be, and into the never-ending sky of what could be.

It is about freedom. Not the kind that simply escapes — but the kind that rises, that chooses the open sky even when it’s easier to stay grounded. The single bird isn’t alone: it dares to trust the invisible air beneath its wings, and have faith for the things yet unseen.

This work invites the viewer to pause and breathe — to feel the lightness of surrender and the call to possibility.

The sky isn’t the limit — it’s only the beginning.

A Drop in the Ocean is for those who dream. For those who dare to dream again. For those who are on the edge of something new. For those who have known confinement and are learning to fly again.

It speaks gently to the soul: You were not made to stay small. You were made to rise. To dream. To explore the infinite with the One who has and knows no limits.

i will stand, unwavering

(from the collection: waves upon waves)

Strength in their simplicity. Boldness in their silence. There is no striving, no hesitation. And together, they advance.

These simple waves are a movement of harmony, not uniformity.

As if they know where they are going. As if they’ve always known.

Each wave holds a depth beyond what’s visible, carrying the calm power of one who knows where they are going. There’s nothing frantic about their movement. It is intentional. Unshaken. Whole.

They are not loud because they do not need to be.

This piece speaks to the strength that comes from within — from identity rooted deep, and purpose made plain. It’s a portrait of those who carry boldness quietly, who do not strive, yet do not stop.

Indeed, nothing can stop where they are going.

They move as one — unwavering.

where the sun stand stills

(from the collection: the light that remains)

From a place already ascended, the warm, deep yellow sun is, for a moment, suspended in a field of warm vintage white. It glows without needing to declare itself.

There’s no rush. There’s no beginning. There’s no end. Only the here and now. Only presence.

This is not a story of arrival or departure — it’s a story of being.

Like a held breath, or a long pause in a conversation that doesn’t need to be filled, the piece offers space.

Space to notice what’s still burning. Space to stand beneath something greater, something that watches over the landscape even when the landscape is left unseen.

It’s a moment between moments. A quiet strength that says: “I am here.”

It reminds us of the holiness of the middle place — when the light hasn’t just begun, and it hasn’t yet finished — it’s simply continuing, faithful, and still rising.
